Molveno is a small village on the shores of Lake Molveno in western Trentino. “Precious pearl in a much more precious casket”, as Fogazzaro defined it. At the foot of the Brenta Dolomites and the Paganella massif, near the Adamello Brenta Nature Park.

Molveno is the ideal choice for those who love going to the mountains and, at the same time, do not want to give up water, the beach and water sports.

Lake and Mountains

Lake Molveno was the winner of the Legambiente Lakes ranking in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 thanks to the clearness of its waters. Furthermore, Lake Molveno has been awarded with the 5 Sails of Legambiente and the Orange flag of the Italian Touring Club for eight years. The lake is surrounded by the Brenta Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, whose majestic peaks are reflected in its blue waters. The lido consists of 12 hectares of green and clean meadows. Here you can do water sports, beach volleyball, trekking, tennis and fishing. But also simply walk, sunbathe and, if you are younger, play and have fun. The Brenta Dolomites offer multiple itineraries, a dense network of paths and a succession of peaks, ramparts, dihedrals and peaks of all shapes. Here you can go trekking, Nordic walking, trail running, mountain biking or paragliding.

Activities

Many sports champions have grown up here: Josefa Idem and Antonio Rossi, canoe world icons, Luca Donini, paragliding world champion and his son Nicola Donini, Italian acrobatic paragliding champion. And the Nicolinis in ski mountaineering. The splendor of the surrounding nature makes Molveno an ideal place for relaxation. There are many walks you can enjoy in tranquility in a landscape of rare beauty. The old center, crossed by the pedestrian street around the church square, still preserves some traditional houses built in wood and stone. In addition, you can admire the typical balconies of Trentino and the barrel vaults hosting the shops, traces of a suggestive rural past.

From the center you can go up with the new panoramic cable way to the Pradel Plateau. Through a path with a breathtaking view, it allows you to reach the mountains easily to discover new routes and live new experiences.
