The Park carried out, with the contribution of the European Union, a transnational project to promote bear conservation in the Alps. The project, carried out between 2004 and 2005, saw the collaboration of Italian, Austrian and Slovenian partners (description of the project). In order to achieve the objectives, the project was carefully structured. The promoter and its partners agreed on the following actions:
