The BioMiti Poject
Looking for Life on the Brenta Dolomites
BioMiti is a multi-year research project carried out by the Adamello Brenta Nature Park in collaboration with Department of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Sassari and Invertebrate Zoology and Hydrobiology Section of MUSE.

The BioMiti Project aims to study the ecosystem in the Brenta Dolomites in order to understand the effects of current climate change.
The survey will be carried out primarily in the high-alpine altitude range between 1900 and 2900 m asl. It will deal with fauna, flora and climate evaluations. Furthermore, the geo-morphological features of the area, capable of conditioning the multiplicity of microclimates, will not be considered too.
All the data obtained through detailed scientific analysis will lead to a better understanding of the effects of global warming in progress to find suitable measures for an ever better protection of natural environments.
In addition to strictly scientific objectives, BioMiti is also a “bridge” between scientific research and the involvement of people who visit the mountains of the Park. They will be actively involved in some stages of the study and improve their knowledge of Nature.
What are we waiting for? Let’s go and do reseach in the Park !!
