The whole course of the Sarca di Val Genova is very uneven, formed by steps and layers called “Giants’ stairs”, short enlargements and narrow gorges. These morphologies of glacial origin are highlighted by numerous waterfalls that characterize the impetuous flow of the stream.

The term Scala di Bò indicates one of the steepest climbs of the Val Genova at a high glacial step. In the 60s the route of the old road, whose traces remain evident even today, has been replaced and completely modified.
