The whole course of the Sarca di Val Genova is very uneven, formed by steps and floors called “Giants’ stairs”, short enlargements and narrow gorges. These morphologies of glacial origin are highlighted by numerous waterfalls and jumps of water that characterize the impetuous flow of the stream.
The waterfall takes its name from Ragada near Todesca. Among the very green meadows, near the mountain houses and not far from the waterfall, there is a small votive church and the small recently restored war cemetery. There is also the monument dedicated to the pioneers of the Val Genova who contributed to the conquest of the most important peaks of Adamello and Presanella.
